Kid's College at EMCC offers summer learning and fun

AVONDALE, ArizonaApril 30, 2014 – Enrollment is now open for the very popular Kid’s College, designed by the Community Education Programs at Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC), offering summer educational short courses for kids ages 4-18.

Now in its fourteenth year, this successful summer tradition offers a wide variety of topics including Doll House Camp, babysitting, Bravo for Broadway Camp, Fire Academy, cooking, Jedi engineering, robots, video-game animation, App design, Taekwondo and Jedi fitness training, art, music, dance, science and much more.

Fifty courses are being offered in June and July, with prices ranging from $59 to $210. Each year, EMCC adds new courses to keep content current and interesting to the kids, while keeping the favorites that are so popular with both the kids and their parents. The main motivation of Kid’s College is to instill the kids with an excitement for learning.

Registration is open until classes reach capacity. Some classes are one day, while others may have several meeting times. Early enrollment is encouraged due to the popularity of the courses. All classes are held on the campus of EMCC, located at Dysart and Thomas Roads in Avondale with the exception of the Hip-Hop Latin Dance class which will be held at a dance studio in Avondale.
