Media Advisory-Residents Learn How to Keep Families Safe at Summer Safety Saturday

SUMMER SAFETY SATURDAY

What: West Valley Fire and Police Departments will address safety issues to raise awareness in the community and help prevent summer-related injuries, such as accidental drownings. Children will learn safety tips from clowns and can attend a special water safety workshop, W.H.A.L.E. Tales (Water Habits Are Learned Early). Free immunizations, car seat inspections and an open, supervised swim are also part of the day's activities. CPR instruction will be offered on site.

When: Saturday, April 27 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Where: Loma Linda Park 530 E. Loma Linda Blvd., Goodyear

Details: Many of the day's activities are centered around children. Safety vehicles on display for children (Police cars, fire trucks, DARE van, rescue helicopter, DUI van)
