Course work will be supplemented with visits to local airports, tower control, radar service stations and aircraft maintenance shops.Ground school instructor, Jim Vojtko, is a pilot with over 18 years of instruction. Vojtko has noticed increased demand for ground instruction and adds, "I come across more and more people who want to learn how to fly--whether for recreation, business purposes or it's just something they've always wanted to do. This course is required by the FAA and is one of the initial steps to getting a pilot's license. It can be taken alone or in conjunction with flight school, for added benefit."Private Pilot Ground School is offered Monday and Thursday, starting July 12 and ending August 19, from 6 ?9 p.m. Tuition is $225 and there is a supply fee of $125.
