Estrella Mountain Community College Partnership Brings the College to Surprise

January 5, 2005 - Estrella Mountain, a Maricopa Community College, has partnered with Dysart Unified School District to bring a variety of essential college courses to Surprise, thereby enhancing this growing region's access to affordable, quality education opportunities. Northwest Valley residents can now enroll in Estrella Mountain Community College classes hosted at Willow Canyon High School, located at 17901 West Lundberg Street, in Surprise.The current course offerings range from English, Math, and Psychology to more specialized areas as Adobe Photoshop and Ceramics. Beginning in February, the site will host health care courses that serve as a foundation for additional education in Nursing Assistant and Practical Nursing.Academic courses offer a variety of class times throughout the day and evening, while health care courses are offered evenings only.Classes begin January 31.To register, call (623) 935-8888 or visit estrellamountain.edu for a full listing of classes and online registration service.Estrella Mountain Community College is a Maricopa Community College.
