February 22, 2006 - Estrella Mountain Community College, a Maricopa Community College, announces the commencement of its seventh annual New Car Raffle Scholarship Fundraiser in partnership with Estrella Rotary Foundation, Inc. For just $50.00, community members may purchase one or more of 1500 tickets to win a chance to choose from new vehicle options from four dealers among the West Valley Auto Alliance, or second and third prizes of $1,000 and $500, respectively. This year's vehicle options include a 2006 Dodge Magnum from Avondale Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep; a 2006 Chevrolet Aveo and HHR from Gateway Chevrolet; a 2006 Ford Mustang GT convertible from Tom Jones Ford; and a 2006 Pontiac Torrent from Yates Buick, Pontiac, GMC. In addition to the West Valley Auto Alliance and Estrella Rotary Foundation, the fundraiser is also sponsored in part by Salt River Project and the West Valley View. All proceeds from ticket sales benefit West Valley students, providing college scholarships for students interested in a variety of fields of study.
