February 20, 2007 - Estrella Mountain Community College, a Maricopa Community College, announces the commencement of its eighth annual New Car Raffle Scholarship Fundraiser in partnership with Estrella Rotary Foundation, Inc. For just $50.00, community members may purchase one or more of 1500 tickets to win a chance to choose from new vehicle options from four dealers among the West Valley Auto Alliance, or second and third prizes of $1,000 and $500, respectively. This year's vehicle options include a 2007 Dodge Charger from Avondale Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep; a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche from Gateway Chevrolet; a 2007 Ford Mustang convertible from Tom Jones Ford; and a 2007 GMC Sierra and Pontiac G5 from Yates Buick, Pontiac, GMC. In addition to the West Valley Auto Alliance and Estrella Rotary Foundation, the fundraiser is also sponsored in part by Salt River Project, West Valley View and M&I Bank. All proceeds from ticket sales benefit West Valley students, providing college scholarships for students interested in a variety of fields of study.
