February 26, 2007 - Estrella Mountain, a Maricopa Community College, will host legendary civil rights activist Bobby Seale at the district's second annual faculty conference on Tuesday, March 6, 2007. Seale, who co-founded the Black Panthers Party for Self-Defense in 1966 with the late Dr. Huey P. Newton, was not only a force of change during the 1960s and beyond but also led the Panthers' efforts for programs of immediate social changes such as free breakfast programs for impoverished children and health clinics for the poor.
