Estrella Mountain Community College's SouthWest Skill Center and Maricopa Workforce Connections are partnering to host a job fair with several employers from the West Valley's booming warehouse distribution industry on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The job fair will be held at the West Valley One-Stop Career Center at 1840 N. 95th Avenue in Phoenix (95th Avenue and McDowell).The job fair is free and open to the public, as the fair will cover several areas of interest within the industry. Employers who will be present at the fair include Macy's Fulfillment Center, ULTA, FedEx, Aerotek, UPS, ADOT, VOLT, Peoria School District, Swift Transportation, Holsum Bakery, Adecco Staffing, Fry's Food and Drug, and more.
The SouthWest Skill Center offers a Certified Distribution Logistics Technician program where students learn the necessary skills to be successful in the growing distribution industry, such as receiving, storing and distribution of materials, equipment and products. These students are often immediately hired for employment upon completion of the program and are encouraged to participate in this exciting job fair.
