"Discover Your Road to Success," EMCC Hosts Career Fairs November 19

Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC), a Maricopa Community College, will host two career fairs and a scholarship information session on Wednesday, November 19, 2008. There will be a Science, Engineering and Math fair from 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. in the Estrella Hall Community Room, a scholarship information session at 4:00 p.m. in the Plaza Gallery, and a Technology fair from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the Plaza Gallery. The Avondale campus is located at 3000 North Dysart Road, on the northwest corner of Thomas and Dysart Roads.

The event, which is free and open to the public, is in a different format this year. Rather than holding one annual career fair, several career fairs will be held at the college to cover a variety of academic disciplines and occupational opportunities in those areas. The November 19 career fair will focus on professions in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields and each session will include speakers from local organizations and professionals in the field. Students and community members who are interested in these fields are encouraged to attend the career fair.
