EMCC hosts Job and Internship Expo on April 11

The Career and Transfer Center at Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) will be hosting their spring Job & Internship Expo on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at the EMCC campus located at 3000 North Dysart Road in Avondale, Arizona. Expo hours will be 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., and is free and open to the community.

The Expo will provide employment contacts and resources, plus some fun activities, including a “Dress for Success” display and a photo booth for career headshots that can be used on resumes or career-based websites such as LinkedIn.

There will also be pre-workshops leading up to the Expo to assist job seekers with preparing resumes, career assessment testing and counseling, and information about post high-school education and training.

Job seekers will be able to inquire about part- and full-time positions, paid and unpaid internships, and obtain information about current and future  job opportunities. Confirmed employers to date include AZTEC, ADECCO Staffing, APS Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections, Compass Group, Macayo Restaurants, Discover Financial Services, Desert Schools Federal Credit Union, Manpower, Maricopa County, Maricopa Integrated Health System, Phoenix Workforce Connections, Prime Solutions Group, and Sunbridge-Estrella Care & Rehabilitation Center.
