Kid’s College, designed by the Community Education Programs at Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC), will again be offering summer educational short courses for kids ages 4-16, that combine fun and learning. This popular, summer tradition of Kid’s College offers a wide variety of topics including babysitting, show choir, fire academy, culinary arts, Lego® engineering, robots, video-game animation, app design, ninja and Jedi fitness training, arts, music and dance, science and more.

This is the thirteenth year that EMCC has provided the Kid’s College. “Each year, we add new courses to keep content current and interesting to the kids, while keeping the favorites that are so popular to both kids and parents,” said Maureen Hannon, EMCC Community Education Coordinator. “Our main motivation is to instill these kids with an excitement for learning.”

Nearly 40 courses are being offered in June and July, with prices ranging from $49 to $210. Registration is open until classes reach capacity. Early enrollment is encouraged due to the popularity of the courses. All classes are held on the campus of EMCC, located at Dysart and Thomas Roads in Avondale.
