On November 7, 2007 EMCC will have a Rap for Darfur concert in the Plaza Gallery to raise awareness for the genocide occurring in Sudan. The concert will by from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and will feature EMCC's hottest musical artists, spoken word poets and guest speakers addressing what is happening in Darfur and other parts of the world. Student organizations including Black Student Union (BSU), Movimento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan (M.E.Ch.A.), Gay, Straight Alliance (GSA), Social Awareness Club, Pacific Islander Club, and Agents for Change will display and distribute information about events happening in Darfur and around the world.
