2nd Annual Honor Student Project Expo - November 27-29, 2007

Tuesday, November 27, 2007 marks the beginning of the 2nd Annual Honor Student Project Expo at Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC). Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, EMCC's honor students will present their honors projects, which may include topics ranging from psychology to mythology. Presentations will start at 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday and will continue on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. There will be a reception and presentation of scholarship awards Thursday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. where students with the top five projects will be awarded scholarships valued at $100 to $500 each. Student projects are judged according to five criteria; originality, read (research and references), write (presentation materials), recite (overall presentation information and effectiveness), and the professional appearance of the presenter. Presentations are open to the public and faculty and students are encouraged to attend.
