The 9th Estrella Rotary Foundation Inc. and West Valley Auto Alliance New Car Scholarship Fundraiser kicked off on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 to benefit the scholarship programs of Estrella Mountain Community College and the Estrella Rotary Foundation, Inc. Community members may purchase tickets for $50 each to win a new car from one of four local dealerships: Avondale Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep; Gateway Chevrolet; Tom Jones Ford, Inc.; or Yates Buick Pontiac GMC. Only 1,500 tickets will be sold. The first prize winner selects one of the four dealer options and will work with selected dealership on any desired upgrades. This year's options include 2008 models; Dodge Nitro R/T; Ford Edge SEL; Chevy Aveo and HHR; or Pontiac Solstice GXP. The second prize winner will receive $1,000 and the third prize winner will receive $500. Ticket sales close April 15, 2008 at 11:00pm and the drawing will be held April 22, 2008.
