Estrella Mountain Community College's SouthWest Skill Center will celebrate the accomplishments of 140 students at its completion ceremony to be held Thursday, November 6, 2008 on the college campus, located at 3000 N. Dysart Rd., in the Estrella Mountain Image Zone (southeast lawn). The ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m. Eight of the 140 completing students will receive certificates in Medical Billing and Coding, the Center's first completing class in this specific program.
"We are so excited to celebrate our students who have reached their educational goals and who will go out into the community to fulfill the needs of local medical offices, emergency response teams, and distribution centers. This is our largest class of completers, and we look forward to servicing future students," said Katie Brocker, director of the SouthWest Skill Center.The SouthWest Skill Center offers short-term job training with flexible scheduling in allied health and distribution programs.
