Student photography on display

January 20, 2009

Photography students at Estrella Mountain have displayed their work for the campus and community to enjoy now through February 28, 2009. The display features black/white portraits, landscapes, still lifes, abstracts, architectural, and nature studies. Most are done by first semester students with a few contributions from second-semester students. The students have studied both digital and film cameras to learn to choose what best fits their working style and vision. Estrella Mountain is expanding its Visual Arts display area and this show will be the first of what is to become a permanent "Student Art Showcase," with rotating shows of painting, drawing, photography, and collage throughout the year. The show can be viewed Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. until February 28, 2009 in the art cases located on the west side of Komatke Hall B.
