Estrella Mountain Community College's Community Education program offers a variety of non-credit courses designed to help students build skills for personal and professional development.

Looking to buy DSLR Camera Basics

If you are looking to upgrade to a digital single lens reflex (DSLR) camera or just purchased one, this is the perfect beginning class for you. We will cover the differences between point and shoots, and between DSLR cameras, the basic functions and terms, and touch on lenses and filters and how they can help you achieve great looking photos. Receive a comprehensive booklet filled with helpful information that will be covered in the class.

Learn the basic and advanced features of a digital camera in an easy-to-understand, simple language. We will discuss the principles behind the symbols of the camera and their functions. Also covered is a hands-on approach using tips and tricks and user-friendly photo-enhancing software to achieve great looking pictures. Please bring a digital camera and owner's manual. A handy comprehensive booklet will be provided. Your digital camera must have the ability to be manually set.
