This event welcomes the month-long celebration with a campus-wide display of Hispanic culture. The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the college’s Ceremonial Plaza with a proclamation given by Mayor Marie Lopez Rogers and a welcome given by EMCC President Dr. Ernest Lara. There will be performances given by a local mariachi group and authentic Hispanic food for sale with proceeds benefiting student scholarships. Participants will also have the opportunity to participate in a dance workshop hosted by Ballet Folklório Esperanza.
