Screening of “Real Women Have Curves”

The film, “Real Women Have Curves,” is about a first generation Mexican-American, teenage Latina who struggles with self-image and the expectations of her traditional family. The film will be shown in the college’s Plaza Gallery at 11:00 a.m. followed by a discussion led by Estrella Mountain’s Counseling Division Chair, Jason Martinez. Themes such as generational, cultural, identity and gender issues will be discussed as they relate to the film. A light lunch will be provided.
