Project Street Light Workshop; March 27

February 17, 2010

This workshop, to be held in the college’s Center for Teaching and Learning, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, will focus on the topic of child sex trade. Keeping children safe from child sex slavery/trade has been an increasing problem. Arizona has been listed as the number one state for sex trafficking of young girls in the United States. The average age of child prostitution is 13, many of whom were abducted and forced by predators. This is a free event to raise public awareness about children being raped for profit. Guest speakers will present about Project Street Light, real-life cases, how to avoid child predators, and self-defense techniques. RSVP to Julie McCrimmon at [email protected].
