Jazz Lecture and Performance on April 1

The MIOW Jazz Quartet will perform a diverse selection of jazz music including the Blues, Dixieland, Swing, modern jazz, and Latin styles at Estrella Mountain Community College on Thursday, April 1 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. in the College’s Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL).  The group will also discuss the history of jazz and the multicultural influences that shaped its evolution.  The members and instrumentation of the MIOW Jazz Quartet are Jason Mosall – trumpet; Gabe Hall-Rodrigues – banjo; accordion, keyboard, and vocals; Kevin Bock – tuba; and Wes Anderson – drums.  This event is free and open to the public. For additional information, please contact Dr. Jeanie Pierce at 602-793-3833.
