Three Estrella Mountain Community College students were selected to participate in a district-wide art show, “Maricopa Artists of Promise,” on April 29th at the Orpheum Theare. Aaron Galendez was chosen to display an untitled acrylic piece; Kristina Engholm, a black and white photograph titled, “Out of Sight, Out of Mind;” and Adrian Romero, a black and white piece titled, “Forgotten Dreams.”
“Maricopa Artists of Promise” was a gala performance and exhibition honoring the 2010 Chancellor Award Winners of Maricopa Community Colleges' student visual art, choreography, creative writing, theatre, and music competitions. Diverse students from across the valley took center stage at the Orpheum Theater, showcasing their finest artistic work.
EMCC’s winning students artwork will be featured in the 2010 EMCC Juried Student Art Show starting Thursday, May 6, 2010.
