“The Strength We Hold” art exhibition will be available for viewing on the Estrella Mountain campus during Hispanic Heritage Month. The exhibit illustrates the strength of the Hispanic community in Arizona, featuring work from many local Latino/a artists, including Jose Portilla, former offensive tackle for the Atlanta Falcons. Artwork can be viewed in Komatke and Estrella Halls. “The Strength We Hold” was specifically curated by Xico Inc., a multidisciplinary organization that promotes indigenous arts and culture through community-based arts programs, in partnership with EMCC’s Visual Exhibition program.
