More than 160 students, guests and donors attended the 14th Annual Scholarship Luncheon, hosted by the college on Friday, May 6. The luncheon recognized 107 student scholarship recipients and the donors who make scholarship opportunities available. Ms. Catherine Anaya, CBS Channel 5 anchor, emceed the event. The luncheon showcased the generosity of donors such as The Dougherty Foundation; American Association of University Women (AAUW), Sun City Branch; the Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation and many other community organizations and corporations. EMCC distributes more than $500,000 per year in scholarships to students who are in need of financial assistance to meet their educational goals.
