EMCC will premiere its online magazine The Lion’s Perspective in spring 2013. Students will be writing and publishing the new “e-zine” through EMCC Journalism courses.
Students are excited about being on the ground floor of the development phase and see this as an opportunity to make sure student voices are heard.
Journalism classes not only offer preparation to work in the field, but also strengthen students’ writing and communication skills in general. The news articles will be composed by students from across all disciplines to provide a broad perspective of news and events, through writing, photography, and overall creativity.
Students interested in this new venture, should sign up for the following Journalism classes:
- JRN 201, section 38455, our basic News Writing Class (JRN 201 satisfies the Intensive Writing/Critical Inquiry [L] requirement for the AGEC-A and AGEC-S.)
- JRN 203, section 38456, our Writing for Online Media Class
