Dr. Christina Van Puymbroeck and Pam Grady were selected as this year's EMCC recipients of the 2014 Diversity Advisory Council Award of Excellence.
Van Puymbroeck and Grady received the award in recognition for developing the ADA Task Force, which is now called the Empower Committee. Through their leadership, the Empower Task Force was able to address the physical access limitations on the EMCC campus and give a voice to individuals with disabilities to create a more inclusive college environment for students and employees.
Christina and Pam will be recognized at the Diversity Advisory Council Awards Celebration along with the awardees from the other nine colleges and the District Office. The celebration event will be held on April 29, 2014, from 3-5:00 p.m., in the Patayan Room at Paradise Valley Community College
