EMCC sends new graduates into healthcare workforce

February 03, 2017

Hands-on learning gives Medical Billing and Coding program students a great advantage

On February 3, 2017, 16 students from EMCC’s Medical Billing and Coding gathered in the campus’s Performing Arts Center for a ceremony to celebrate the completion of their studies as they move toward entering the workforce. EMCC features a selection of healthcare programs that are designed to help students move from the classroom to the workplace with ease and hands-on experience.

Though the ceremony for this group of graduates doesn’t include a student speaker, previous graduates who have addressed fellow students and attendees have discussed the program’s benefits. The ability to get practical experience to take directly into a career is appealing to those who want to turn their knowledge into action post-haste.

Other short term career training programs offered at EMCC include Emergency Medical Technology, Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy. Learn more at https://www.estrellamountain.edu/southwest-skill-center.
