EMCC students hold fourth annual Small Business Expo on March 30

March 23, 2017

Community and business-friendly event hosted by Entrepreneur Club/DECA Affiliate (E-Club) students

The annual EMCC Small Business Expo and Marketplace brings together local West Valley businesses, employee business owners, and EMCC students to showcase and sell their respective goods and services to offer attendees the opportunity to meet a variety of area vendors.

Taking place on the scenic EMCC campus, it’s a great opportunity to see the diversity of goods and services available from area businesses, make new connections, and foster consumer-to-business and business-to-business relationships that help strengthen the community.

Time/Date: 10:00 a.m. – 2:000 p.m., Thursday, March 30, 2016

Location: Estrella Hall Outdoor Plaza on the EMCC campus at 3000 N. Dysart Rd., in Avondale, Ariz.

The value the Expo provides to EMCC’s presenting student organizations is extensive. The goal of the school’s E-Club is to help students develop crucial business skills, and to learn relationship development and community-building abilities to utilize on a pathway to success. This event puts them in direct contact with these business-minded community leaders to learn these practical skills and to set the foundation for beneficial unions.

Additionally, funds raised at the Small Business Expo and Marketplace will help fund the club operations and help with the costs of qualifying students to attend the annual DECA National Competition, which is held in major U.S. cities.

Local business owners and entrepreneurs are encouraged to participate by renting a table in the Expo. For more information or questions, contact club advisor and business faculty Dr. Sylvia Ong at [email protected].
