Food donations needed for EMCC Student Food Pantry

December 04, 2018

Student Life is always accepting food donations for the Estrella Mountain Community College Student Food Pantry. Non-perishable food items can be dropped off at the Student Union front desk.

The food bank’s wish list includes microwavable items, such as ramen Cup Noodles (preferably in bulk), macaroni and cheese, Chef Boyardee, canned soups, tuna fish, and oatmeal packets; snacks, such as granola bars, Pop-Tarts, peanut butter or cheese crackers, jerky, apple sauce, fruit cups, pudding, chips, pretzels, and Chex Mix; and drinks, such as Power Aid, Gatorade, and boxed juices.

Microwavable ceramic bowls, disposable forks, spoons and knives, and paper napkins are also being collected.

The food pantry, located in the Student Union, is available to serve current EMCC students in need. Students can use the food pantry twice per week, and select two food items per visit (milk is included with cereal, and doesn't count against the two-item limit). Bowls, spoons, and forks will be provided.

Pantry hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
